545 New Coronavirus Infections Were Registered in Poland on Sunday
· In Poland, 545 new coronavirus infections were registered on
Sunday, the largest daily increase to date. Poland plans to ease
restrictions on the epidemic on Monday, parks and forests will be reopened, and
restrictions on the number of shoppers staying in stores at the same time will
be eased, the Polish prime minister said on Thursday. Other restrictions,
such as mandatory face and nose covering in public places and keeping schools
closed, will not change.

As of Sunday, the number of confirmed coronavirus infections in
Poland was 9,287, while 360 people died in the epidemic. According to
data from the Ministry of Health, roughly 11,200 tests were performed in the
past day.

The number of new coronavirus infections was broadly even in April,
with no new infections higher than five hundred daily registered in Poland
until Sunday. The number of tests performed daily fell to around five
thousand last weekend.
